New Vehicles for the Armed Forces
On Thursday, the Austrian Armed Forces presented two of the recently ordered IVECO "Light Multirole Vehicles", along with new JCB backhoe loaders.
Support During Disaster Relief Missions
The 8.5 ton JCB Sitemaster Servo 4CX backhoe loaders will be used by Army engineers to remove the remains of land slides or log jams during disaster relief missions. They will also provide support for the construction of temporary bridges. The loaders will be transferred to the engineer battalions in Villach, Melk and Salzburg.
Protected Multipurpose Vehicles
IVECO's "Light Multirole Vehicles" will be used for transportation, patrol, scout and command missions. The vehicles will increase the mobility of troops and at the same time guarantee their protection.

The loaders will be transferred to the engineer battalions of the Forces.
The AAF have ordered 150 "Light Multirole Vehicles" of IVECO.
