Norbert Darabos - Minister of Defence and Sports
Norbert Darabos was born on 31 Mai 1964 and lives in Kroatisch-Minihof/Province of Burgenland. After attending Elementary School in Burgenland he completed an Upper Secondary School in Vienna, followed by studies of History and Political Science at the University of Vienna, from where he graduated with a Master of Arts degree in 1988.
Darabos started his political career as a Municipal Council in Nikitsch/Burgenland. In 1998 he took office as Executive Secretary of the Social Democratic Party (SPÖ) in Burgenland. Since 2003 Norbert Darabos has been Secretary General of the Social Democratic Party of Austria and as of 2004 he has been Member of the Austrian Parliament.
Norbert Darabos is married with two children.
