AirPower11 Exceeded All Expectation

02 July 2011 -

More than 290,000 fans visited the AirPower11, bringing Austria’s air show to a new attendance record. The show was also a success for the region, which profited by 60,000 additional overnight stays, and a regional additional value of 15 million Euros.

Spotters Took One Million Photos

Approximately 5,000 personnel contributed to the success of Austria’s second-largest event. 786 spotters were taking about one million photos. About 200 medical doctors and medics were prepared to intervene in the event of a disaster.

Storks Preserved In The Background

17 storks, even though they were already media stars, lavishly kept in the background during the whole event.

Words Of Praise

Participants also had words of praise: "The invitation to come here was a great honor for us", said Major Abdulaziz Al-Sohaimi of the Royal Saudi Hawks. The aerobatics team of the Saudi Arabian Air Force was celebrating its debut in Europe and is already looking forward "to seeing our new Austrian fans and friends as soon as possible again".
