Abstract:
The Chapter "Integration of Russia into Europe: Realistic or Superficial?" is devoted to problems of interaction between Russia and the rest of Europe. This interaction is studied in its economic, political, security and geopolitical dimensions. The main conclusion is that in many senses Russia and Greater Europe are interdependent and supplement each other. But the integration of Russia into Europe is not limitless. It is limited by the necessity not to endanger the equilibrium, the limitations may be imposed by objective state of affairs as well as by policies. The system of limits is not static. It may change with time as the international system is developing. Both Russia and Europe have common interest that these changes should be to the better.
