Lebenslauf
He is the first elected permanent Chairman of the EU Military Committee Working Group, a post he has held since 4th of January 2002.
He has ample experience in working for international organizations in Peace Keeping Operations, as he was over two years Force Commander of the UN-Mission in Western Sahara (MINURSO) and around one and a half years Head of the Border Monitoring Operation of the OSCE at the border between Georgia and the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation, an operation which was established under his command.
