Operations sub-department
The Operations sub-department is responsible for the training of military leaders, be they Austrian staff officers or foreign students, and personnel of the Austrian Ministry of Defence. Research is performed in the field of military sciences. Our teaching is based on the results of this research, puts them into practice, which again stimulates and provokes new research.Our teaching and research covers the theories of command and control, evaluation and analysis of operations, the application of the operational planning procedures by means of conducting map exercises, taking part in national and international joint exercises, and publications in these fields.
