Review: LVAk Symposium on the topic of "Para-military forces (B-Gendarmerie) from 1952-1955"
Vienna - AG Rossau, 18th to 20th September 2002 - From 18 to 20 September a scientific symposium was held on the topic of "Para-military forces (B-Gendarmerie) from 1952-1955". Organised by the Institute of Strategy and Security Policy, the symposium was convened in the Rossau premises of the Ministry. It opened on the topic Cold War, followed by a contribution on the development of the East German People's Army and the West German Bundeswehr. The second day saw panels of two exe witnesses that found favourable echo. An excursion to Salzburg to visit a special exhibit concluded the symposium.
