Masters degree in Communication Research, Eastern European History and Russian Language.
Her studies include a Fulbright scholarship at Middlebury College, Vermont and several internships at NGO's, research institutes and media organisations, i.e. at the United Nations Press Centre (UNIC) in Bonn and the Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA) in N.Y.C.. She gained first professional experiences in the field of New Media as project assistant and freelance copywriter.
She currently works at DCAF as an Information Resources Coordinator. Since 2002 she is pursuing a distance learning studies course on peace and conflict research at the University of Hagen, Germany. Her studies and research work focus on civil-military relations and the democratic oversight of the security sector, with a special regional emphasis on the Southern Caucasus.
In autumn 2002 she was a research fellow at the Center for Civil-Military Relations and Security Studies (CCMRSS) in Tbilisi, carrying out an empirical survey on the current standing of security sector reform in Georgia.
