Vorwort
In light of the current regional security environment following the outbreak of the Iran war, the Strait of Hormuz has once again moved to the centre of global politics. Renewed concerns over military escalation, blockade measures, and the security of global energy supply routes have underscored the enduring strategic importance of this narrow maritime chokepoint, which has emerged as a central focal point in the confrontation between Iran and the United States.
